We are seeking a Field Technician to support our East Coast projects – see full description below.  This position requires travel to local East Coast customer sites (mainly Tri-State) as needed.

A brief background check will be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients and perform pre construction site visits of buildings, campuses, and other areas where RF signals may need to be enhanced, provide design change suggestions
  • Support other site walks as needed (with Sr. Construction Manager or Field Project Manager)
  • Collect site details on med/large projects for use to adjust Budgetary Designs and BOM to accurate details for construction and deployment
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot & resolve basic installation and hardware problems
  • Enforce Quality Control to ensure installation meets required standards
  • Maintain a current and accurate status of all construction activities and communicate the status to appropriate project stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Track project activities and tasks in Tracker platform (or similar)
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed—escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans
  • Coordinate testing activities with Engineering team and RK2 preferred subcontractors as needed
  • Coordinate A&E drawing requests with RK2 preferred subcontractors as needed
  • Help guide subcontractors on installation practices, proper terminations, cable dress, and testing

Skills & Qualifications

  • Must have 2+ years general Construction / Low Voltage experience.
    • Experience with In-Building Wireless/DAS projects is a plus.

RK Squared is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive NOC Technician to join our Network Operations Center team, Occulor. This individual will be responsible for the continuous monitoring, maintenance, and Tier 1 and Tier 2 support of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and wireless infrastructure, including Private LTE, Microwave, and other RF-based technologies. The role plays a critical part in ensuring uptime, performance, and reliability across mission-critical wireless networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Real-Time Monitoring: Utilize advanced NOC dashboards and tools to monitor DAS, Private LTE (PLTE), Microwave, and other wireless infrastructure.
  • Incident Management: Respond promptly to alarms and alerts; perform root cause analysis and resolve Tier 1 and Tier 2 network issues.
  • Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Conduct remote diagnostics, configuration, and troubleshooting of RF and network devices.
  • Escalation Protocol: Escalate complex incidents to Tier 3 support or engineering teams as required.
  • Carrier Coordination: Interface with major carriers (e.g., Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile) to facilitate timely resolution of service-affecting issues.

JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support our East Coast projects – see full description below. This role requires collaboration with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of projects. It also requires some travel to local East Coast customer sites and RK Squared Montclair, NJ office as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, send and maintain project plans, project schedules and project tracking docs as needed
  • Schedule and facilitate conference calls and project meetings (internal & external, virtual & in-person)
  • Work with RK2 Project Coordinator, vendors and subcontractors to ensure successful delivery of materials to warehouses, jobsites, etc.
  • Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments
  • Analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that project team adheres to project requirements
  • Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes
  • Establish and maintain processes to manage scope over the project lifecycle, setting project quality and performance standards, and assessing and managing risk within, and across, multiple projects

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for designing Public Safety RF systems using iBwave design software; collaborating with onsite teams to understand specific site challenges; and planning, designing, and optimizing systems for performance, capacity, and coverage to meet customer requirements. Experience with AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) and gathering site-specific requirements is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Design Public Safety DAS using tools such as iBwave.
  • Gather system requirements from the AHJ and end Customer.
  • Create detailed AHJ ready wireless communication system drawings (block diagrams, system layouts, riser diagrams, rack diagrams, etc.) using iBwave, Visio, PowerPoint, or AutoCAD.
  • Write survey reports, design proposals, and system test plans, and evaluate space requirements for rack equipment, antenna locations, and cable runs.
  • Present design information to customers, AHJs, and project stakeholders.
  • Interpret and apply field markups to design and as-built drawings.
  • Communicate with the sales team, project team, and customers to provide updates and determine project scopes, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Operate RF signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and RF scanners to evaluate RF statistics and performance.
  • Apply both in-office design work and field-testing duties to commercial and public safety projects, based on industry technology fundamentals.
  • Evaluate and optimize DAS deployments for both design and field-testing operations, with a focus on Public Safety.
  • Analyze and engineer solutions by evaluating key performance metrics for: LTE, 5G NR, P25, WiFi, private networks, and legacy GSM/CDMA/WCDMA.
  • Document and report findings, providing professional technical reports when required.
  • Meet customer deadlines with all project deliverables.
  • Utilize propagation tools and other RF-related equipment for site coverage review, determining limitations and boundaries of systems.
  • Provide quality control for peer designs.

Qualifications:

  • Must have good technical writing skills.

RK Squared is seeking a Solutions Engineer to support projects primarily located in N.J. & NY. There may be some travel outside of the Tri-State area.  This role involves supporting presales and estimating activities with travel to customer sites to conduct surveys, collect RF and infrastructure data and documenting field conditions. It also includes rough order of magnitude (ROM)and proposal creation.  The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of translating site findings into actionable inputs for system design, proposal development and technical customer presentation and proposals.

Responsibilities

Presales & Site Surveys

  • Conduct site walks to evaluate building layouts, infrastructure, and RF environments
  • Capture photos, RF readings, floor plans, and access points needed for accurate system design
  • Identify cable pathways, power availability, equipment mounting locations, and other install considerations
  • Coordinate with internal teams to document conditions affecting scope, schedule, or constructability

Estimating & Design Support

  • Translate site data into structured documentation, drawings, and survey templates
